Charles William Holtz Jr. was a son of Charles Sr. & Mary Holtz.Birth Certificate
Because the 1890 Federal Census was either fire or water damaged Charles Jr. first listed in the 1900 Federal Census.. Charles 13, Jeanette was 11, Albert 8, Lottie 4 and Lester 1 were all living with their parents at 86 Roehrer St. on the West Side of Buffalo NY.

In the 1910 Federal Census. Charles Jr. 23 & Emma 23 lived @ 206 Fougeron St. with their children Arthur 4, Viola 3, Edward 1 10/12 and Howard 6/12. Charles's grandfather Frederick DuWell 74 was also living with them. Charles worked as a street car conductor.
According to the WWI draft card Charles was tall with a medium frame and had blue eyes and brown hair.World War I Draft Card
In the 1920 Federal Census. Charles Jr. 31 & Emma 31 were living on Park St. in Cheektowaga with their children Arthur 14, Viola 12, Edward 11 and Howard 10. Emma's parents Charles 67 & Minnie 67 Theet were also living with them. Charles now worked as a machinist for the railroad.
In the 1930 Federal Census. Charles Jr. 43 & Emma 43 were still living on Park St. in Cheektowaga with Howard 20. Charles still worked as a machinist for the railroad. Howard worked as a laborer for the railroad.
Emma died on July 23, 1947 and was buried on July 26, 1947 at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Newstead NY on S. Newstead Rd. Charles died on December 9, 1964 and was buried with Mary, he was living at 13542 Broadway Avenue in Alden NY.
There was no headstone or marker for Emma & Charles. Charles and Emma's great grandchildren James W. Holtz Jr and Steven & Michael Monteith puchased a grave for them.
